Accreditation

The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) office of Mapúa University oversees preparations for the accreditation of the Institute’s academic programs. To complement the outcomes-based approach to education the university created the Continuous Quality Improvement Office (CQIO) in 2004. The office has the mandate to move the schools consistently toward higher levels of attainment of the program educational objectives and desired student learning outcomes of the academic programs. In doing so, it ensures that the university implements the P-D-C-A (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach to continuous quality improvement including the maintenance of its quality and environmental management systems (QMS, EMS). The office conducts internal quality audits to check compliance with mandatory, statutory and regulatory requirements, and supervises and coordinates all activities relevant to the accreditation of academic programs by both local and international accrediting bodies.
