Digital Film Thesis Joins CineFilipino Film Festval 2018

Raiza Masculino's film thesis, "Amusin Pa (Still Young)," was included in the top 17 short films that competed in the 2018 CineFilipino Film Festival.
Masculino graduated from Mapúa's School of Media Studies with the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Cinema, 3rd Quarter of school year 2017-2018. The film, "Amusin Pa," is her thesis film, which she presented in the School of Media Studies as part of the final requirements before graduation, and awarded as the Best Thesis during the Commencement Exercises at the Philippines International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City. She was mentored and guided by her thesis adviser, Prof. David Corpuz.
"Amusin Pa" talks about a 10-year-old Pablo who tries to pursue his long-time crush whom he hasn’t seen in a long time after the Tubong, a welcome ceremony performed in Marinduque.
All films in competition were screened last May 9 to May 15 at Gateway Cinema 4, Greenbelt 1 Cinema 1, and Cinelokal Theaters – SM Fairview, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Manila, SM MOA, and SM Southmall.
