Digital Film Freshmen Win Major Awards in “We Are Intramuros 24-Hour Filmmaking Challenge”

Mapúa Digital Film feshmen won two major awards in “We Are Intramuros 24-Hour Filmmaking Challenge” last November 16-18, 2018, sponsored by the Intramuros Administration in partnership with Film Development Council of the Philippines.

 

The Mapúa Team that competed for the film challenge was composed of Anne Niño, Angelica Llanera, Chyna Merin, and Raine Rivera. Their film “Hakbang” won a Jury’s Choice Award, and they were also awarded 2nd Place in the Filmmathon category. There were 10 student finalists from different schools around Metro Manila who competitively completed the one-day film challenges.

 

The film competition was composed of series of events. The introduction of challengers and facilitators was conducted by Film Development Council of the Philippines Chairperson and CEO, Liza Diño and Mr. Guiller Asido. It was followed by the orientation of filmmathon with the Gurrilla Filmmathon Team Filmmaking Workshop conducted by Direk Treb Monteras. The Provision of Camera Training and Handling was facilitated by Mr. Alex Ruelo of Panasonic.
