The Online Seminar on A Look into Qualitative Research: Characteristics and Methodologies of Qualitative was conducted by the Mapua University - School of Media Studies’ (SMS) Multimedia Arts and Sciences students in partnership with the SMS Faculty Development Office last October 21, 2021, via Zoom. The seminar aimed to give the attendees an in-depth understanding on the qualitative research approach of research specifically its characteristics and methodologies.

James Cook University -Singapore’s Senior Lecturer Dr. Nimrod L. Delante shared specific objectives of the seminar. He also shared his knowledge and experiences in conducting qualitative research and provided points to level off the expectations of the participants.

He reiterated that one of the goals in conducting the seminar is to encourage the participants to publish qualitative research and articles in internationally recognized journals. Dr. Delante emphasized the need to prepare efforts related to increasing the number of qualitative research and publications. 

The seminar workshop was attended by 100 participants composed of SMS Students and faculty, including some of students from other universities.
